Today we’re wrapping up my 20 Books of Summer for 2024. I ended up having to swap out several of the books I had originally picked to read because they were at home on a bookshelf and I was traveling out of state with only my kindle. I made some good substitutions and it’s always nice to cull my kindle TBR!
I’ve categorized my reviews based on their ratings:
5 Star Reviews = 2
4 Star Reviews = 9
3 Star Reviews = 9
Favorites & Disappointments
My 20 Books of Summer reading experience went extremely well this time around. There were no duds that were especially egregious, instead all of the books rushed to be being good to very good with two exceptional reads.
So, what were my standout reads?
My favorites were: Jumping Jenny, The Abbey Court Murders, Vanishing Point, and Mystery Mile. The books had well crafted characters, were well plotted with good clueing and had twist endings that surprised me.
The disappointments?
My least favorites were The Cape Cod Players and Nipped in the Bud which failed to live up to the high standards of other books in there respective series.
