Hello readers! November is probably my least favorite month. The temperatures are often cold but not cold enough to snow. The leaves have fallen off all our trees and stand bare against a grey sky. It’s too early for Christmas cheer, and the raucousness of Halloween is long past. Surprisingly, my family has no November birthdays or friendships, so the month is bereft of celebration, which is a shame because Topaz and Citrine are lovely birthstones!

My Kindle and audiobook collections are adorned with a fair few Topaz and Citrine book covers, and their warm hues never fail to catch my eye. However, as I prepare for this post, I can’t help but notice the absence of this visually appealing color in my physical book collection. It’s a hue that I believe should be more prevalent on bookshelves, despite its ‘full-on ‘nature that some readers may find off-putting.

The Book Covers:

It’s a nice even dozen for November! My favorites are Lord Peter Wimsey’s titles and the two covers designed by Dean Street Press—The Murder of Caroline Bundy and The Kneeling Woman.
